The 13th European Diatom Meeting is sponsored by Amgueddfa Cymru - the National Museum Wales, St Fagans National Museum of History. The meeting will unite scientists from Europe and further afield to discuss a broad range of topics in diatom research.

Patrick Kociolek - Freshwater diatom biogeography: a phylogenetic approach

March 4. Workshop on Fragilaria capucina (fee of £50)

The workshop will consist of a morning session of lectures and discussions. The afternoon session will be an online microscopy demonstration of specimens from type slides and other populations from Europe. Participants are welcome to send images of problematic species to the meeting organizer. A pdf booklet with the notes of the workshop will be provided.
