My research focuses on the biodiversity and taxonomy of recent cyanobacteria and algae. I have contributed to the knowledge of these phototrophic microorganisms of running and stagnant waters in Slovakia and abroad, and I have recorded several new taxa of diatoms for the flora of Slovakia. Diatoms have been and remain a matter of my heart.
