I started studying diatoms as a Master’s student in Dr. Kevin Wyatt’s lab at Ball State University. I am currently researching relative abundances of diatom species in Alaskan fens. The aim of my research is to link the species data with environmental variables to help the scientific community better understand how climate change will affect diatom assemblages in boreal peatlands.
