Experiments are not about discovery but about listening and translating the knowledge of other beings. - Robin Wall Kimmerer
I
am an undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Science at Drexel
University with a minor in Climate Change. I have been researching and
learning about diatoms at the Academy of Natural Sciences in
Philadelphia under the care of Dr. Marina Potapova. It has been an
amazing opportunity to work with new microscope technology and to learn
more about diatoms and freshwater systems. The most interesting thing
about diatoms to me is how climate change affects their populations, and
in turn, how that change could impact ecosystems. Apart from diatoms, I
am interested in studying changing weather patterns and other
systematic environmental changes as a result of climate change.
