“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” ― Jane Goodall
I received my BS in Environmental Science and Management from Portland State University in 2025 and expect to complete my MS in Environmental Science at Portland State University in 2027. My undergraduate and graduate research has focused on examining the impacts of floodplain reconnection on stream ecosystem structure and function. My research interests include stream food-webs, stream macroinvertebrates, diatom community trait analyses, and the quantification of restoration impacts on stream ecosystems. I have found diatoms to be an invaluable tool throughout our research and am eager to continue to incorporate them in future work.
