If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
I am a recent graduate from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Biology and a concentration in Plant Biology. I spent several semesters doing independent research in the paleo lab where I helped harmonize our diatom taxonomy and interpret the community data of Florida lakes. In addition to studying and researching in Florida, I am also a student of the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory Ecology and Systematics of Diatoms class of 2024, where I was awarded the Charles Reimer scholarship.
My continued research will primarily focus on fossil diatom communities in the unique and diverse aquatic ecosystems throughout Florida so that we can better understand these systems and the variables that contribute to their change over time.
