Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer. - William Burroughs
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Ursuline College in 2018 and my Master’s degree in Biology from John Carroll University in 2022. My Master's research focused on conducting a periphyton diatom survey on Lake George. I began my doctoral studies at the University of Toledo before relocating to the University of Kentucky with my advisor. I am currently a PhD student in the Earth and Environmental Science Department at the University of Kentucky. To better constrain the impacts of land use change on aquatic ecosystems, my doctoral research characterizes diatom assemblages and associated geochemistry from sediment core records that have accumulated during the Anthropocene in West Lake Okoboji (Iowa, USA) and Lake Erie.
