Every fifth breath you take, you can thank to diatoms. - David M. Harwood
I am a geologist. I studied at University of Warsaw, two degrees: engineer and master. I'm working on fossil marine diatoms for about 4 years. My first study was about variations in taxonomic composition and relative abundance of diatoms from early Paleogene sediments of Ocean Drilling Program Site 1050 (Atlantic Ocean) as indicators of paleoenvironmental changes. Second study which I did during my masters was a high-resolution, quantitative siliceous phytoplankton assemblage variations analyis across the Eocene-Oligocene Transition in 748B site (Kerguelen Plateau, Indian Ocean). Since April 2019 I'm working in Sweden-Lund University as a research engineer with professor Daniel Conley. My job is to study diatoms in fossil record of marine sediments.
