Meredith is a M.S. student at Florida International University. Her research interest is using micro algae as indicators to determine the health of the aquatic ecosystem. She previously worked on a NOAA research vessel, collecting oceanography data and fish biomass data in the Bering Sea. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania for three years, assisting the communities with environmental projects. She enjoys adventures and seeing the world from different perspectives.
