I obtained my Ph.D. in Biology, Queen’s University, Kingston CA, where I examined lake sediments to determine the history of fires. I am interested in how both forest fires and climate are reflected in the biogeochemistry of lake sediments, and the associated changes in diatom species composition. I participated with the EPA Northeast Lakes Survey, and worked in collaboration with analysts to on a large voucher flora.
