Junction line

In the genus Entomoneis, the junction line is the line that appears where the keel meets the valve surface. The junction line may be straight or have irregular contours and may be variously ornamented.

Alternative Terms

separation line: Hustedt (1930) used the term, Trennungslinie, or separation line to indicate the same structure.
