Compare

Aneumastus tusculus is similar in valve outline but has subcapitate ends and a more lateral raphe. Aneumastus stroesei has a higher stria and areola density. Aneumastus pseudotusculus has a higher stria and areola density and areolae that are only weakly aligned in longitudinal rows. Aneumastus carolinianus has acutely rounded apices.
