Valves are elliptic. The central area is small and elliptic. The external proximal raphe ends are expanded. The striae are strongly radiate and coarsely punctate. Long and short striae alternate in the central area. The stria density increases towards the apices. Areolae are elliptical and number 10-14 in 10 μm.
