  1. Valves linear-elliptic and slightly dorsiventral
  2. Proximal raphe ends deflected ventrally
  3. Distal raphe fissures deflected dorsally
  4. Apices subcapitate to capitate

Valves are linear-elliptic and slightly dorsiventral with nearly straight margins. Valve ends are abruptly constricted to form subcapitate to capitate apices. Proximal raphe ends have ventrally deflected hooks. Distal raphe fissures are deflected dorsally.
