Diprora haenaensis is a single species of within a monotypic genus, with uncertain taxonomic relationships. Diprora lacks the ocellus-like structure at the apices of the valves of Hyalinella. The morphology of attachment of frustules in filaments is distinct and distinguishes Diprora from filamentous Fragilaria or Eunotia.
