Eunotia horstii valves have a slightly concave, to nearly straight ventral margin The dorsal margin is convex and the apices are "set off" by a change in slope in the dorsal margin. The apices are rostrate and dorsally deflected. The distal ends of the raphe are dorsally curved. The striae are parallel.
