Compare

Valves of Eunotia eurycephala are shorter (70–130 μm) with less inflated apices (3.5–4.5 μm wide). Eunotia eurycephaloides, though similar in outline, has arcuate and shorter valves (60–150 μm) with much less expanded apices (3.0–4.0 μm wide), and lower stria density (15–18 in 10 μm).
