Genkalia subprocera overlaps in size and striae range, but is differentiated based on having tapered, broadly rounded apices that are never protracted and a larger central area. Genkalia boreoalpina is more linear in outline, with broadly rounded apices.
Genkalia digitulus has parallel distal striae, whereas Adlafia has convergent distal striae. Because distal striae can be difficult to resolve in some microscopes, however, we also offer these additional comparisons with Adlafia species: A. minuscula is more elliptic, has a higher stria density and lacks a elliptic central area. Adlafia suchlandtii is more linear, with distinctly protracted apices.
