  3. Central area small, linear-elliptic
  4. Striae parallel at center, radiate at ends
  5. Longitudinal lines submarginal

Valves are lanceolate-clavate, with straight to convex margins. The axial area is relatively narrow and linear. The central area is slightly expanded, linear-elliptic and bears a prominent stigma. The raphe is lateral and slightly arched. Longitudinal lines are submarginal.
