Valves are dorsi-ventral, with nearly straight ventral margins. Apices are distinctly protracted, rounded and subcapitate to capitate. Dorsal striae are widely spaced, 9-13 in 10 µm, and radiate. Ventral striae are shortened and interrupted at the center.
