  1. Valves rhombic-lanceolate, slightly dorsiventral
  2. Median striae more widely spaced
  3. Stigma present at end of dorsal median stria
  4. Striae convergent at apices

Valves are rhombic-lanceolate and slightly dorsiventral (asymmetric to the apical axis). The median striae are more widely spaced than other striae. A single stigma is present at the end of the median stria on the dorsal side of the valve. Striae are convergent at the apices.
