Compare

Luticola mobiliensis is larger in size. Similar species, but from other continents include L. submobiliensis, L. dapaloides and L. uraguayensis. Luticola submobiliensis has a larger length-to-breadth ratio (see graph under Autecology tab). Luticola dapaloides has more apiculate apices, especially in smaller specimens, and has a more rectangular central area. Luticola uraguayensis has a similar valve outline, but has a larger size range and a more rectangular central area.
