Muelleria agnellus has distinctly curved striae and convex valve margins. Muelleria gibbula is smaller and valve margins are convex to gibbous rather than straight. Muelleria spauldingiae has elliptic valves with convex margins. Muelleria terrestris is smaller and striae near the apices are slightly convergent rather than radiate. Muelleria portomontana has much larger valves.
