  3. Transapical striae more coarse than longitudinal striae
  4. Central area only slightly expanded

Valves fusiform, with tapered rounded ends. The transapical striae are parallel and more coarse than longitudinal striae. The central area is slightly expanded. Craticulae and heribaudii valves are formed under adverse conditions.
