Navicula capitatoradiata is wider and the apices are more rostrate. Navicula radiosiola is very similar in all aspects, except for the striae near the apices. The striae of N. radiosiola are nearly parallel near the apices. Navicula arkona valves are longer. Navicula subalpina and N. krammerae are more narrow.
