Valves are lanceolate, with broadly rounded apices. The raphe is straight and filiform. The external proximal raphe ends are slightly dilated and rounded. The distal raphe ends are hook-like. Striae are distinctly lineate and radiate along most of the valve, becoming parallel to convergent at the apices.
