Valves are very large. No fewer than five narrow longitudinal canals on each valve margin. Striae evenly spaced and and weakly radiate to parallel at the center, becoming radiant near the apices. Areolae do not become wider towards the valve margin. Central area is a slightly transapically expanded ellipse.
