Neidium sacoense valves are similar in length, with similar apiculate apices. However, N. sacoense lacks a conopeum-like structure and triundulate valve margins. Neidium sacoense valves are broader and the proximal raphe ends are shorter and more regularly hooked.Neidium hitchcockii var. teres lacks undulate margins.
