Valves are linear-elliptical-lanceolate with rounded slightly drawn-out ends. Axial area is narrowly linear. Central area is elliptical or round, usually asymmetrically expanded to one side of the valve. Striae are radiate in the middle, slightly convergent at apices, 35-40 in 10 μm.
