Compare

Pleurosigma diversestriatum has valves that are less arched, with a lower stria density, a smaller central area, a less eccentric raphe position and greater raphe angles. The raphe of P. aestuarii is less eccentric. Pleurosigma marinum is larger (110-180 µm), with a greater raphe angle (61-89°).
