Stauroneis beeskovea has strongly radiate striae. The valves are narrowly lanceolate with subtly protracted, broadly rounded apices. Proximal raphe ends are straight and simple. Raphe branches are filiform near the terminal fissures. The stauros is somewhat wider at the valve margins and often has 1-3 short striae on each side.
