The valve is lanceolate with acute, narrowly rounded apices. The axial area is narrow and linear. Striae are slightly radiate. Areolae are arranged into longitudinal rows, separated by hyaline ribs on the external side of the valve. Areolae are coarse and appear rectangular in LM. The stauros is rectangular.
