Valves with a flat face. Central fultoportulae are absent. Prominent spines are present at each interfasicle (7-9 in 10 µm). A single rimoportula is located on an interfasicle near the valve face/mantle junction. In some specimens, an annulus is present. Fascicles are uniseriate in the center, becoming biseriate to triseriate. Areolae are easily resolved.
