Valves have a central valve inflation. The central inflation is wider than the terminal inflation. Apices are sightly capitate to capitate. The presence of  hyaline area central valve is a variable character. Marginal spines are present. A rimoportula is located near the central area. Regular and rudimentary septa are present on closed girdle bands.
