Valves are cruciform, with a large central inflation that is notched on each side. The apices are rounded to subcapitate. Costae are thick and semi-regularly spaced at 2-3 in 10 µm. The axial area is linear, with a narrow sternum that terminates before the apices. Septa are present on the girdle bands.
