Tryblionella hungarica is distinguished from T. constricta by the more excentric raphe position, distinct fibulae and lack of distinctly protracted, elongated apices. It is distinguished from T. calida by its larger size and lack of protracted narrowly rounded apices. Tryblionella apiculata has more constricted central margins, more apiculate apices and fibulae that are aligned with the striae.
