From 2015 to 2021, the genus Spicatocribra was open. In order to align nomenclature with phylogenetic position, the page will be closed shortly. The single taxon on diatoms.org, Spicatocribra kingstonii J.R.Johansen, Kociolek and R.L.Lowe is transferred to Cyclotella based on Downey et al (2021)
