  1. Dorsal fascia distinct
  2. Ventral striae uninterrupted
  3. Raphe arched
  4. Proximal raphe ends dorsally deflected
  5. Dorsal striae interrupted by intercostal ribs

Valves semi-lanceolate to semi-elliptical. Raphe positioned near the ventral margin, arched, with proximal and distal ends dorsally deflected. Dorsal and ventral fascia present, dorsal fascia typically ‘closed’ by a row of short axial striae, ventral fascia extending to valve margin. Dorsal striae interrupted by intercostal ribs, ventral striae composed of a single row of areolae.
