  1. Valves 8-13 μm wide
  2. Valves moderately dorsiventral
  3. Two stigmata
  4. Striae 8-11 in 10 μm in valve center
  5. Areolae 17-20 in 10 μm

The dorsal valve margin is strongly arched, whereas the ventral margin is flat or slightly convex. The central area is small and elliptical. Two (rarely one or three) stigmata are present at the end of the middle striae. The areolae are apically elongated and they number 17-20 in 10 μm.
