  1. Valves 8.5-12 μm wide
  2. Valves moderately dorsiventral
  3. Stigma single, elongated
  4. Striae 9-11 in 10 μm in valve center
  5. Areolae 22-25 in 10 μm

The dorsal valve margin is strongly arched, whereas the ventral margin is slightly convex. The central area is small and elliptical. A single large, elongated stigma is present at the end of the middle stria, larger valves sometimes have two stigmata. The areolae number 22-25 in 10 μm.
