  1. Valves 9.5-14.0 μm wide
  2. Valves slightly dorsiventral
  3. Stigmata 2 (sometimes 3)
  4. Central striae 9-11 in 10 μm
  5. Areolae 22-24 in 10 μm

The dorsal valve margin is strongly arched and the ventral margin is moderately convex. Stigmata usually 2, but may be 3; stigmata located at the end of the middle striae. The areolae number 22-24 in 10 μm.
