Eunotia triodon, Eunotia tetraodon, and Eunotia serra have 3, 4 and as many as 22 undulations, respectively. A specimen of E. serra with 6 undulations may be distinguished from E. diadema by having shallower undulations and a tendency for the terminal undulations to coalesce with the apices. Eunotia bilii has a flat ventral margin and narrower apices.
