Compare

The morphology of E. rushforthii is most similar to E. trinacria. The dorsal margin of both species has a faint undulation, but E. rushforthii is markedly wider. Eunotia microcephala also has a small undulation on the dorsal margin but the undulation is more pronounced in E. microcephala than the faint undulation on E. rushforthii.
