  3. Striae coarse, uniseriate

Valves are strongly asymmetric to the transapical axis, with broad, truncated headpole. The central area is small ,with central striae of variable length. A single isolated stigmoid is present. Striae are coarse and uniseriate. Striae are parallel to weakly radiate, except at the footpole, where they become strongly radiate.
