Valves are linear-lanceolate 5.8 to 6.7 µm wide, with a length to width ratio of 5.2 : 5.6. The apices are narrow and subcapitate. Striae are continuous across valve face, that is, longitudinal lines are absent. Striae are closely spaced throughout and difficult to resolve in LM.
