Lindavia intermedia has longer marginal striae (covering 2/3 the valve radius) and concentrically arranged central areolae. Lindavia praetermissa has smaller valves, higher stria density and the presence of shadow lines. Lindavia radiosa has smaller valves and distinctly radial rows of areolae in the center valve. Lindavia affinis has longer marginal striae (1/2 the valve face radius). Lindavia affinis, L. lemanensis, and L. eriensis all have a more strongly undulate valve face. Lindavia comta has smaller valves, longer marginal striae (1/2 to 3/4 the valve face radius) and a higher stria density.
