Valves are narrowly lanceolate with drawn-out subcapitate ends, 8.7-9.5 µm wide, 51-70 µm long. The central area is transversely elliptical. The striae are strongly radiate, bent in the middle of the valve and convergent at the apices, 10-12 in 10 µm. Areolae are 34-36 in 10 µm.
