Surirella suecica is easily distinguished from S. angusta; S. suecica is heteropolar while S. angusta is isopolar. Surirella suecica differs from S. minuta by its clavate shape and higher stria density. In addition, the fibulae of S. suecica are shorter and do not extend to the apical axis.
