Diatoms of North America fundraising campaign

The diatoms.org project leveraged generous funding from EPA, USGS, and the University of Colorado to develop a resource that 1) serves as the standard for taxonomic identification for water quality assessment, 2) joins the international community of diatomists through the Diatom Web Academy seminar series, 3) provides taxonomic certification through the Society for Freshwater Science, Diatom Taxonomic Certification Committee, and 4) receives over a million page views each year.

Yet, despite these successes, the project lacks secure funding for web maintenance, support for student training, and development of additional taxon pages.

Make your tax-deductible donation through the University of Colorado Foundation.  For the Gift Designation, enter "diatom" in the search box that states "Select or Type Keywords to Search". That action should bring up "Diatom Lab Research Fund", which is the correct fund. The form is confusing (apologies, it is out of our control).
